Silage additive applicator Spreader 6000 CAN

The Spreader 6000 CAN combines the Spreader 6000 applicator with the next-generation Spreader CAN controller. The result is a highly accurate and automated dosing system that takes silage additive application to a completely new level. The system is ideal for silage loader wagons and smaller forage harvesters requiring a pumping capacity of up to 12 l/min.

The Spreader CAN controller enables fully automatic dosing based on actual harvest data via the harvesting machine’s CAN bus. When connected to the harvester, the desired dosage can be set in litres per tonne of forage, and the system automatically adjusts dosing according to real-time throughput.

CAN connectivity is available for Claas, John Deere and New Holland forage harvesters and requires a compatible wiring harness.

If harvest data is not available, dosing can be automatically controlled based on the harvesting machine’s speed in litres per kilometre using a separately sold speed cable. Conventional dosing in litres per minute is also available.

The Spreader 6000 CAN has a pumping range of 2–12 l/min. Spreader applicators are designed for ease of use and maintenance, with quick-connect electrical cables and hoses for fast installation and removal.

The pump can be switched on and off via a limit switch (e.g. attached to the pick-up) or by using signal data from the harvesting machine. A control relay is required when using the machine’s signal data.
