Dosing solutions for a trailed forage harvester
An acid applicator is on your shopping list, but you don’t have time to deal with hoses and fittings? No worries — at Happowa, we’ve made choosing an applicator as easy as possible by putting together ready-made product packages designed specifically for trailed forage harvesters, allowing you to select the solution that best suits your needs.
In a trailed forage harvester, silage additive is usually applied in the blowpipe. The required pumping capacity of the additive for trailed forage harvesters is usually 2–12 l/min, meaning that Spreader 4000 (2) with its maximum capacity of 6 l/min is often a suitable applicator option.
With the Spreader acid applicator, the flow rate measured by the flow sensor is adjusted and monitored in real time on the electronic Spreader controller (4) display in litres per minute. The Spreader applicator is the right choice if you value reliability and ease of use above all.
For low flow rates, the reliable VP acid applicator is also a suitable option. Flow adjustment and monitoring are carried out using the Junior controller and a glass tube flow meter.
The packages include nozzles, an anti-drip valve, as well as hoses and fittings. Happowa’s nozzle set (3) includes two acid-proof spray nozzles and a y-branch and is installed in the harvester spout to ensure that the additive spray is evenly directed into the forage stream. The anti-drip valve is installed in the hose as close to the nozzles as possible.
